The Story Behind the Sweater

It really just started with a problem we couldn't ignore. We found out the 5th graders were extremely short for their Outdoor Education trip. That isn't just a budget issue; that’s kids potentially missing out on a huge childhood memory.

So, Mr. Rocky (the teacher) and Mr. Dennis a.k.a. Joey (the entrepreneur) got to talking.

At the end of the day, we’re just two creative dads with a big heart for art and for this town. We knew we could figure this out. We didn't want to just ask for a handout; we wanted to create something special that brought people together.

That’s how The Friendly City sweater was born. It’s our way of using creativity to make sure every student gets their adventure. It’s a hoodie that keeps you warm, sure—but seeing our neighbors step up to help our kids? That warms our hearts more than anything.

We believe every kid deserves this memory. Our vision is to fully fund this trip so no student is ever left on the sidelines because of cost.
